About Us
Beginning as home brewers in 2007, Sean and Joe founded Creature Brewing Company as humble hobbyists. Packaged kits grew into their own signature recipes, which then turned into an obsession.
Brewing traditional styles became a focal point of their beer making. German, Belgian, Irish, English, and American beers were all on the table, and the brewing hobby turned into Coastal Brewing Supply, a local home brew shop.
As the years passed and the beers kept flowing, Creature Brewing continued to be the goal. In 2024, the opportunity arose to accomplish that goal and open in New London, Connecticut.
They moved their shop uptown, and in July 2025 they started pouring beers. Creature Brewing Company quickly established itself as an alternative to the established breweries in the area. Focusing on those traditional beers that they grew up making, Creature Brewing is determined to provide fresh styles and delicious beers for everyone.

Featured Beers
Our flagship ESB, this beer is a little sweet, a little hoppy, and very well balanced. One of our original recipes, we’ve been making and enjoying the Creature Ale, and we think you will too.
6%ABV
Our traditional English Porter is dark, malty, roasty, and a little intimidating. Held up to the light, all you can see is the blackness and aggression invoked by its name. Created with English malts, hops, and yeast, this is one of our original recipes and hasn’t been adjusted in over a decade.
6.2% ABV
Our original American Stout, this beer is big and bold with a slightly sweet finish. Copious amounts of dark malt are paired with traditional domestic base malt to create our darkest brew to date
